First 5 days: how to care for fresh tint

3 min read

What to do, what to avoid, and why the bubbles are normal.

Leave the windows up

Give the film at least three to five days before rolling windows down. The adhesive is still setting and an early roll-down can peel the edge.

The haze and small bubbles are water

A little moisture stays trapped under the film after install. It evaporates through the film on its own, faster in warm weather. Do not press, poke, or squeegee it.

Cleaning it going forward

Ammonia-free cleaner and a soft microfiber only. Skip paper towels, razor blades, and anything abrasive near the edges, and your film will look new for years.
